The Lonely Machine

You could have been the only one.
But, now, you are the lonely one.
You could have been her sunshine.
But, now, you are only snow blind.

You could have been, her rainy monsoon.
But, now, you are praying for a Saturday, in June.
You could have been, her Moon in many lakes.
But, now, you gazing from your room, at the snow flakes.

Lonely Machine, it don't pay to cry.
Lonely Machine, please always try.
Lonely Machine, try for another sky.
Lonely Machine, stare back at life, in the eye.

Used to think, you would have said that.
Used to think, you should have said that.
Used to think, you could have said that.
But, bloody words, as always, fall flat.

Lonely Machine, it don't pay to sigh.
Lonely Machine, please don't never say, she's nigh.
Lonely Machine, feel the ocean of life.
Lonely Machine, love, till it cuts like a knife.
